Default Please, Explain Super Delegates

Maybe this has already been addressed here, if it has, I'm sorry for the repeat. I'm new though & of course have not gone over all the threads.
Isn't super delegates undemocratic? Also, how can two states primary votes NOT be counted? I realize that the DNC made some rules & Fl & Mi went along with those rules, unil....
Didn't the dems make a huge fuss about "every vote must count" in 2000?
The whole thing seems very undemocratic (small d) to me.

Superdelegates are in place so as to protect the party from people electing someone who would lose in the general election.

You mean the rule is to assure that whoever the few wants rather than the many, wins?
"Protect the party from the people" That sounds a lot like....well, communism.

No, that's not unusual. Democrat means the opposite of democracy, didn't you know?

Thats how the founding fathers wanted it. I mean you think the Electoral college was setup to promote peoples power? Do you think US senators being elected by State goverments was more democratic?

Where in the federal papers or the constitution does it give you the impression that the FFs wanted to protect the party from the people?
