While military contractors rake in record profits for doing a terrible job, army barracks are in disarray.

Why is it that conservatives, who are so eager to condemn waste, and love to talk about how they support the troops, ignore military industrial waste, and turn a blind eye to these disgusting conditions?

S Amdt 2737 to S Amdt 2707 to HR 4297: To strengthen America's military, to repeal the extension of tax rates for capital gains and dividends, to reduce the deficit, and for other purposes.


Vote on a motion to waive the budget act in order to adopt an amendment that appropriates $47.27 billion to the military and repeals the extension of tax cuts for capital gains and dividends to 2010 back to 2008.

NOTE: A MOTION TO WAIVE THE BUDGET ACT, IF ADOPTED, TEMPORARILY SETS ASIDE A SPECIFIC PROVISION OF THE BUDGET ACT OF 1974, SO THAT AN AMENDMENT THAT VIOLATES THE ACT CAN BE CONSIDERED. A MINIMUM OF THREE-FIFTHS MAJORITY IS REQUIRED FOR ADOPTION.
