The biggest problem with most of these guys is that they listen to the news, where they're saying this like "This is the worst economy ever" and "We have the highest deficit in History". And this leads them to believe that things have NEVER been this bad before. What most people don't realize is that the News is a money making entity, and the way they make money is by increasing ratings. People NEVER want to hear good news. They only want to hear and pay attention to bad news, so they think that this is all Gospel Truth and it's not. Things like the Deficit, it's running about 13% of spending. Throughout the past 40 years or so, it's been about the same, it's kind of like you putting things on your Credit Cards, you know you shouldn't do it, but there's just a few more things you want to buy than what you can really afford, and in a few years when you're making more. Sometimes you pay them all off, but more often you just increase your credit line and spend more. It's really the same with the Government. Does this mean that it's all going to hell in a hand basket? I don't think so. Between me and my wife, we made last year about 100K, a lot less than the previous year, but 3X as much as 20 years ago. Should I be pissed? I'm still well off, who cares. Should I look at the fact that I have 500K in loans and credit cards for my house, cars, furniture and electronics. I can make the payments so I don't stress over it, even though it's 5X my income. So the U.S. right now has about 8 Trillion in Debt, it's less than 3X what the U.S. brings in annually. It's all relative, but again, people want to talk about Gloom and Doom.

I mean honestly, how many people know that the EU is no where near being in parity with the U.S.? How many people know that the average EU citizen lives in a 1000 sq. Ft. or smaller apartment? How many people know that home ownership in the EU is about the same as home ownership here in the U.S. ONLY when comparing them the the 'So Called Poor' in the U.S.?

People are not aware of these things and when they find out, they are absolutely shocked.

Did you know that the poor in the U.S. have a higher percentage of Automoblie ownership than most of the EU? It's insane, but most people are not aware of these facts.
