yes, they have worked so well that he keeps pressing congress to make permanent lower taxes for the wealthy. since the country has voted against its own economic interests the last two national elections maybe his expectation is not all that unreasonable

Funny how it's always the lowest common denominator trolls who demand other people show compassion.

Hey Crusty, isn't your kid one of those evil rich people you hate so much? Why not just beat all the money out of him, and donate it to some 5th world armpit-of-the-world country?

Screw compassion; How would anyone expect a corporate entities to care about anything other then the bottom line! The Tax cut will never show any assistance to our national economy. When things are good, you’re told to put away for a rainy day. Are people with tons of money any different? No! Any additional gains that the upper classes gain are either put right back into their aspirations and speculations or invested into their portfolio’s to once again make more money. It is also unrealistic to expect these people to even care about the average person!

Nor should a company care about anything but the bottom line, they are beholden to the shareholders and if they were to do anything that was counter to making more money, the shareholders could and should sue. But let me guess one day you gonna start a company and your goal is going to be NOT to make money... yea sure....

Yea sure, lets pretend like the 52 months of uninterrupted job growth never happened.

If your smart you put money away, rain or shine.

And so what's your point? It's their money and last I checked people in this country were allowed to do whatever they want with their own money. Is it John J Richguys obligation to keep anyone up but himself? No! What unrealistic is to expect every body who amasses wealth to shell out their hard earned cash to someone who hasn't worked as hard for it. The redistribution of wealth is a stupid psuedo-communist idea and has no place in this country.

if we were discussing a family's budget and recognized that its spending obligations exceeded its present income, and that its line of credit was maxxed out, to propose reducing the annual income as the solution to that financial problem would be found imprudent. so, why does the right wing think reducing our national income, by making a tax reduction permanent, is an appropriate solution when our country's fiscal crisis is like the budget issue described above?
