I hate PC. People should be allowed to say whatever they want on television and radio without fear of consequences (with the only exception being a call to violence). Last edited by BigRed; 05-05-2008 at 08:40 PM. |

Why would you use "muslims" in your search? I don't believe that border guards ask what their religion is. Are you trying to say that all muslims are terrorists? If so, what do you have to back that up with? I don't give a fig what Canada has, I care about what's trying to get into the US. It's you that needs to do some research, & please, don't tell me about your skinhead research, I'm not interested. I got bored with reading all the nonsense & inane comments & have answered what I consider the most valuable of your diatribe. |

its funny how a bunch of the pc haters go nuts and claim their religion is under attack when someone says happy holidays.

I also can't swear loudly in public and expect it to be tolerated. Is that PC? Sounds to me like most of the "PC" is just what used to be called "common courtesy." And then there's all the weird stuff like what another poster put up as examples... and that's more what I'd call response to hypersensitivity... usually for the purpose of pleasing customers/clients (yes, even when in schools... Schools compete to keep students and also try way too hard to avoid lawsuits). PC is mostly a right-wing buzzword to selectively attack social norms and business/public concessions that they don't like (all the while glossing over the ones they do like... like the topic of this thread).
