I see so much of this term "leftist". Is there something inherently wrong with being left handed or left minded, or just the left in general? Are leftists against rightists?

Leftist is just a term used to describe people
who feel the Government should provide everything.

I am left handed, Yet I am a conservative.

left was used to describe people who had
a strange sense of political options from
what use to be the norm, the norm being
that people use to be more self dependent
on them self, never wanted the government
hand outs as much as they wanted their
freedom to be left alone independent of
the government.

But each generation becomes more and more
dependent on the government and less self
dependent on their own abilities.

These leftist people are the ones that will
have a harder time of things, when the government crashes and can no longer
support these people, but the conservatives
still practice the skill of being independent on
ones self. so will not have as hard of a time.

The depression was one example of a government crash, but back then, more people
where skilled in being independent on them self.

today it's a different story.

With the "left jerking off the right" and the "right jerking off the left" there can only be one winner - the lady who lies at the centre.

I use different terms to describe different mindsets, myself. Of the greater left, I see people as being either liberal or leftist, the first term I use in a positive fashion and the latter more negatively. To me, a liberal supports liberal values as applied to the rights of individuals, while leftists do not actually support liberal values, but ascribe to a multiculturalist mindset that allows for double standards in the way they view the world.

Yes yes and yes. I don't see why you don't like being called leftists though, doesn't that go against the "be proud of who you are" thing though?

When did 'Leftism' become a term? Do you mean Marxism? Socialism? Social Liberalism?
I know it's not liberal because that's what the 'Right' stand for now, Classical and Neo Liberalism. Strange that isn't, how in America the term 'Liberal' means Socialist where in fact the GOP are the Liberals!???!!!?! Doesn't make sense....
