I do not see it as doing the right thing. He had plenty of time to do the right thing over the last twenty years. Now he is doing what he has to do. Nothing more.

He knew that he would keep his core demographic by sticking with Wright, and he was thinking that this whole thing would be blown over and his charm and speaking abilities would win back what he lost but the media kept after it. He has made something like four different statements about it. When one did not work he made another that was just a bit more harsh. Now he finally realized that it was not going to blow over so he did what he did. But as the media got a taste of being able to push him, they will continue to do so.

Rino, I agree with your criticism of Obama's lateness to condemn wright and that it appears political. Still, I do not believe Obama is as bad a person as Wright and I am glad he has condemned him. It is a good thing for America for Obama to condemn wright. I am certainly not saying Obama in any way should be President, far from it. I wouldn't want this guy on my local school board.

If you think that is the American way then you need to step back and think for a moment.

It may appear to be but it is not. Not in my opinion anyway.

When I (accidentally) hear some nonsense that Pat Robertson spews, I see a self-important gasbag with a big ego- then, I tune him out.

I have not heard any of Wright's sermons in their entirety so I don't have an opinion about them. I did, however, see his recent press conference which revived the media chatter. What I saw was a self-important gasbag with a big ego.

MasTequila, I have no idea about anyone's race on this forum. Do you work for the C.I.A or something or are you just stereotyping?
