Democrats haven't been "democrats" since JFK. They're "neo-socialists." They're all about a MASSIVE Government that allows it's subjec..err...citizens to suckle off it, like little piglets. They want all your money, and in exchange, will tell you how, where and why to spend it.

"Freedom" and "Democrat" are now tragic antonyms. They two do not co-exist.

EDIT: Before you start piling on me about Bush's big government, make sure you bring me ONE example of ANY democrat who wishes to "shrink" government. If anything, democrats are jealous of Bush because he grew the government faster than they could.

Not completely true. We still support allowing individual freedom to choose whether to use recreational drugs or not, to remain free from religious rhetoric, and to have whatever sexual relations is agreeable with one's partner. However, as time has progressed past the time of "rugged individualism" into the modern era of social responsibility, freedom and liberty must be sacrificed to the greater good.

Universal healthcare, environmental controls, energy conservation, housing needs, and fair dispersement of wealth all require sacrifice of freedoms, but are employed for the good of the masses. How much "freedom" do you think you actually have?

Democrats recognize that things have grown much too important to be left up to the whims of individuals. Get over it.

Government is an 800 pound gorilla in the room and he wants bananas. Government can’t be shrunk without leaving scores of people out in the cold. That’s not about to happen Democrat or Republican. Sorry to let you in on the secret but there are Millions of people within the United States that can’t survive without the help of government. Is this the fault of millions of lazy people who want to collect a welfare check or hard working Americans that cannot make ends meat because their job is in India now! I personally do not have the true answer to my own question. Neither do you! If you understand the inherent nature of Government's then you would understand that it cannot be downsized!
