The actual membership of the Nazi Party in Germany was small, but their supporters and sympathizers represented a majority. The same was also true in Cuba (witness failed Bay of Pigs invasion, which relied on your belief), and I don't really know about Iran, but I think that most of the Islamic population sympathized with their aims.

This claim is surely founded on your modern day experience in whatever country you live in (I'm sure their not that radical). In Germany, Cuba, and Iran, nearly everyone cared very deeply about the issues, whether it was the insane, completely unfair, extortionist, elitist, economically disastrous, idiotic, piece of..., uh, paper that they called the "treaty" of Versailles or whatever people in Cuba or Iran cared about. Their polarizing issues radicalized their populations into action.
