I honestly could not care less about this. What does it matter that he gave up golf and not other forms of entertainment? What does it matter that he gave up golf? He should never have given it up in the first place. I can't see why anyone would try to make a big deal out of this.

I'm not suprised. Especially when I consider the source.

Well since you've decided to used an intellectually challenged defense, I'll explain it to you in simple terms. Had Bush said nothing about giving up anything, it would have been a non-issue. He didn't. He tried to show how he really, really cares and cited his example of giving up golf. He made the issue. It was his choice. Now it absolutely smacks of hypocracy.

Got it know skippy?

So, by that standard, could we all say that Obama knows no shame because he went to a racist church for 20 years, and "really, really cared about it," but doesn't go anymore, so he's a hypocrite?

Just another Obammunist, desperately grasping for anything he can throw up on a message board, and yell: "LOOK! LOOK HERE!"

Why is this whole Golf story still being talked about??

Im ALL for bashing on Bush for decisions he has made, but I honestly dont give a crap less about whether he is playing golf, running, bicycling, playing baseball, playing poker or playing fetch with his ugly dogs.

This is just as stupid as the Obama flag pin story.

Certainly it's stupid. There's no denying that. However, since you haven't spotted the differences I'll explain them to you.

The lapel pin issue was created by the Republicans. They thought they had a winner with that one until they kept getting caught without their "made in China" lapel pins.

The golf issue was created by George W. Bush. He brought up the subject. He made the claim. He wanted to show how compassionate he wanted Americans to think he is.

If I were this President. Or any other for that matter I probably wouldn't care very much about what 73% or so of the population thinks, because IMHO, about that many are total morons and don't really know what's best for them anyway.

The "shrub" as you guys like to call him, is a fiscal liberal (at best) and oratory nightmare. BUT* if one day, because of our current foreign policy there is a democratically elected government in Iraq, and this government is an ally of ours, he'll be remembered as one of the greatest of all times, no matter what you may think now.

So since I make no claims to be prophetic, I'll just sit back and watch the show, but for your the sake of cheering for my country, I'm going to hope you and your lefty friends are wrong.
