If you want to refer to our boys in Iraq as cannon fodder, that's on you. But I'd rather lose the lives of people who volunteer to fight than the lives of innocent civilians. But I'd also submit that their casualties have been far greater than ours, and with each insurgent life that's taken, it leaves one less person that can attack us on our homeland.

Why are people so afraid of peace?

It's not that they are afraid of peace. They are afraid of losing that testosterone rush they get when talking about their big bad military or their big bad guns. They are afraid of what they will be if that rush disappears. Their manly swagger will go away and they will be left as shrivelled shells of their former selves.
