Default Florida democrats throw election away; infiltrated by GOP sleeper cell.

Have you ever seen a more blatant play into an opposition's hands than what is happening in Florida?

Florida cannot help itself from muddling in the success and failure of the democratic party.

Let's not forget that they're initial motive was pure avarice. They wanted to choose the candidate badly enough that they were willing to break the rules that govern them, fully aware of the consequences. They fundamentally believe that they are too important to suffer the consequences. What a myopic decision. Clinton's own campaign chairman Terry McAuliffe (who now argues hypocritically for the delegates to be seated) had this to say as the party chairman to Carl Levin in 2004 regarding Michigan's attempt to circumvent the schedule by moving up its primary, "IF I ALLOW YOU TO DO THAT, THE WHOLE SYSTEM COLLAPSES! THE RULES ARE THE RULES."

Newsweek, May 19, 2008, Page 29.

Facts are facts:

Michigan and Florida broke the rules they agreed to.

The longer they drag this out, the more they damage the democrats' chances.

The Republicans couldn't ask for a bigger gift in the toughest run they should have seen in ages.

The precedent seating these delegates sets does destroy any reason for any other states to ever abide by any rules the DNC tries to set or enforce.

Clearly, a GOP sleeper cell has been awakened and activated within Florida again.

I wonder if Hillary understands that she is working for the GOP?

Or perhaps the Democratic Party leadership is asleep at the wheel!!!

Primaries are conducted with tax money; not money from either the DNC or the RNC. Taxpayers have every right to choose whatever date they want. It's not up to the parties to make this decision since they don't pay for the process.

The thing that irritates me most about this whole fiasco is that we're subsidizing a private selection process with tax dollars. That needs to end immediately. From now on, the political parties need to start paying their share of the costs involved for holding these primaries.

If she was smart enough to recognize the existence of this sleeper cell, then she would be plenty smart enough to know that working for the GOP would compromise her personal safety.

Fl & Mi will not vote for Obama if he is the nominee.
A Fl State Senator Geller has brought a lawsuit against the DNC for this mess & demanding in that law suit that the Fl delegates br seated & votes counted. he said on Lou Dobbs tonight that by his own polling of dems in Fl that anywhere from 25 t0 30% of them have said that if this DNC fiasco stands that they will absolutely not vote for a dem. That's any dem candidate, state or federal.
That Howard Dean is a peach, isn't he. ROTFLMAO

You make a good argument, especially for 2012. The problem is that your gripe cannot be addressed in this cycle. The die has been cast. You are not addressing the problem that exists now with your argument as much as I agree with it.

I say Metrophobe, hold another one (if they still can) and reform the system so that the precedant of letting people get away with breaking the rules becomes irrelevant. Fact is Fl/Mi Dems had the power to do this- they shouldn't have had it, and shouldn't have done it, but they did. Better that the system be changed to dissallow such a power, then rely on good faith which has now been trashed. I hate to write that but there it is. Flip side of that though is that they had some legitament concerns in the 1st place, so a blow-up like this was predictable.

I'd suggest that all primaries are held at the same time, at the end of the sort of campaigning season we've seen, amongst other issues. I suppose its a messy problem, but as an outsider looking in, seems the thing to do.

Btw its crazy ironic that they tried to have more say by moving their dates forward, when this season has been getting more interesting towards the end- still, they may still be the most vital of all, but not the way they'd have liked I'd wager.
