For the record, there is no potential liberty to be found in a culture which places the life and liberty soley upon the power of government... This is due to the certainty that government power represents the greatest threat to liberty and can and never will represent the means to protect the life of the individual.

What this farce represents is the old canard that government represents the solution; when in fact, Barry Goldwater, hysterically cited here as being one that believed in big government as a solution, was actually a life long advocate of limiting the power fo government, stripping of its means to disrupt liberty of the individual...

Goldwater understood that Government was always the problem and never the solution.

When America was in revolution, the 'Rightists' were the Tory's, or the people wanting to stay with Britain and were firmly against Liberty, Democracy and Capitalism. ROFLMNAO... Tories were indeed the Conservatives... and the founding fathers were the liberals... the advocates of liberty. Of course we're not living at that time and today the liberals stand against capitalism, liberty and the United States... As I've pointed out MANY TIMES... conservatives are in the truest sense, Liberals; meaning they advocate for the freedom or liberty of the individual.

The point here is that the ideological left, being oppressive in its origins, its essence and in every practical application of its ideals is the very antithesis of that which the concept liberal rests, but feels it must hijack the term to avoid the stigma of the other labels which it has discredited. I've seen thousands of leftists claim to be libertarians, but they are libertarians only in as much as they want to smoke dope and use various other illicit drugs along with engaging in deviant, hedonistic sex... beyond that they have absolutely nothing in common with Libertarians.

Libertarians believe in accountability and holding the individual responsible for the rights they claim to enjoy; that notion is anathema to the left and where that idea reigns supreme, there is absolutely NO trace of the ideological left, as such cannot exist being exposed to that light of reason.
