Yes but they are Liberal because they went against the establishment of the time. Now however the people who were supporting the Monarchy have embraced the ideals of the Liberals and revolutionaries? How odd is this?!!!!!?!?!!

Conservatives don't like change but don't worry, we'll rally you to something again so in a few generations your ancestors can be Conservative about that. Complacency is the worst attribute of a democracy. Revolutions are started by the Left because Conservatives will never accept that the current situation is based upon corruption.

Currently, conservatives support classically liberal ideals, while liberals support utilitarian and socialist ideals. Whichever you are closer to is how you should vote. Under your definitions of liberal and conservative, the terms themselves have no meaning, and therefore have no place in an ideological survey.

A follow up on the poll:

According to that poll, as of now, there are five cons, one moderate, and no liberals. That's the problem with this website. There is no balance in political beliefs. Conservatives are over represented, and liberals underrepresented.

That's why I chose Moderate

I don't know what catagory I fall under.

I'm conservative when it comes to what government can do.

But I'm liberal (meaning open minded) when it comes to what the people can do.

If that makes sense.

It's my experience on this forum that there is a hard core of conservatives, a hard core of liberals (smaller than the hard core of conservatives), and then there are a lot of random liberals that pop up from time to time.
