Default Michigan and Florida should count

What if the roles were reversed and Obama was trailing Hilary? ....and what if he won Michigan and Florida? Would Obama be protesting "You have to count all the states!!! You have to count Michigan and Florida!!!.....of course he would be...there would probably be riots unless Michigan and Florida were reinstated.

The decision will be made on Saturday.

Chillax.

Moreover, even if you give Clinton her 55% of the Michigan delegates, and 50% of Florida's, she still doesn't overtake Obama.

All 50 states should have equal opportunity to vote, regardless of who is ahead in the race at this time.

It was not the fault of the voters that the primaries were moved up. The voters should not be penalized.

I am not a Democrat nor do I play one on TV , MY opinion is all the votes should be counted.

I agree; they should have punished the people who proposed the new dates in Michigan and Florida instead of invalidating the votes.

However, the rules are the rules, and they will be counted at half of their value, not entirely negated, which will still result in Obama being ahead.

Hopefully the Democrats will learn from their mistakes and not repeat this fiasco in the future.

The problem here is that BEFORE the primary, the states were warned that if they did what they did, they would be penalized and their delegates wouldn't be seated. Some people were told their vote wouldn't even count, so they didn't even bother to go out and vote. But what's really weird here is that th Republicans made this rule that causes this conflict.

These are primaries that take place in political parties. They have to make their own decisions about how they pick their candidates, and should not be subject to laws that government general elections in our country.

Look on the bright side of this DNC screw-up.

The 2000 whine is officially dead.
Already lacking in credibility it has been officially destroyed as lacking any credibility by the people who started it to begin with.

How did it lack credibility? Gore did win, he had more votes. That's a fact, no?

What the party does is the party's business, and they have rules that were broken, however stupid they may be. The rules say, however, that the votes will be counted at half their value, which they will agree on come the 31st of this month.

Sorry popular vote no county anymore. That dance is dead.

Al Gore lost.

In the United States of America we have a General Election for President based on the concept of giving a number value to individual states. These numbers are added to a canidates total based on whether or not they won that state. 1+1=2
When you reach the magic number of 270 you are declared the President to be.
It is not and never has been based on a popular vote system

Bush won... period. Thats why he's been President of the United States since 2000.

To now claim Gore won on the basis of the popular vote while at the same time you're pointing to rules to reject Clinton beating Obama based on the popular vote..is ridiculous, hilarious, and officially completes the death of the 2000 whine.

...

The popular vote was a meritless constructed routine by Democrats to whine with for close to 8 years. They have now officially declared it as such and nothing more by their own actions and words.

Otherwise Hillary Clinton will be the nominee based on the Popular Vote.
