Man, I am loathe to defend McCain. But two points come to mind.

First McCain is a fascist, meaning he at least recognizes the sovereignty of the US. So while McCain is a socialist, he's at least a nationalist socialist which is preferred to the garden variety globalist socialist.

Secondly McCain is not a Muslim.

Those two factors alone make McCain, as sorry as he is, preferrable to Hussein Obama.
