Oh, and what you say does make a lot of sense.
South Carolina, Texas, Oklahoma, Nevada, and California. What makes sense about what I said? The fact that it's mainly Middle Eastern immigrants in the US smoking hookah or that Jews smoke hookah too?

High Schoolers and college students tend to be familiar with the funpipe.

And yes, both of your question.

Yeah it's good stuff. Try rose water in the base, that really does the trick. Arabs and Israelis call it Nargila, in Persian it's Ghalyoon.

Btw, there's a lot of Middle Eastern/Mediterranean immigrants in Australia so I'm guessing one of those guys introduced it to you.

I never tried it and mostly because I figure I will like it and from what I understand its just as unhealty as smoking cigarettes but tastes a million times better.

I cant miss what I never had!

I don't think it's unhealthy. Both of my grandmothers have been smoking it their entire life, literally every day, and they don't have any problems.

Yeah, and most of my Middle Eastern friends who introduced it to me have been smoking it since they were 13, 14 and their parents didn't care.

I only saw one report on it that claimed it was even worse. It was some news program talking about its growing popularity in the west and the new shops that were popping up where people can go and smoke.

I cant swear to the information though and I didnt look it into beyond that.

I have friends who do it though and they do say it tastes great, unlike cigarettes. Even the smell of cigarettes tells you they taste bad. My grandfather smoked a pipe when I was little and I loved the smell of that tobacco...I wonder why more people dont smoke a pipe instead, it certainly seems like it would taste better...same for the hookah (sp).

I've never smoked a cigarette, they're unhealthy and you get addicted. Hookahs on the other hand are just a social thing mostly, and have little or no health effects, at least not so far as I know. It's fun, it tastes good, you have your friends around you, how can you not love it? (rhetorical question).
