Good enough attitude there...I honestly don't care what the religion in of my president, how often he/se goes to church, what his/her preacher thinks....etc

How about an Atheist president?
a Druid president?
A Taoist president (may be the best option now that I think about it.....)

I completely agree with your post. Education is needed about Islam big time. Look at how hysterical people are because Barack Obama's middle name is Hussein and he had a Muslim in his family.

I would be suspicious of anyone who runs for office with a relgious agenda. If an excellent candidate that would uphold American ideals and be the man or woman the country needs happened to be Muslim I would vote for the candidate based on his or her relative strengths and weaknesses.

We ought to do a poll here of who watches Fox News, (I don't) I would imagine regarding poltical stance those who watch Fox lean decidely in the direction of right wing politics and Islamophobia.

No evidence to back this up unless someone has a poll out there.
