Wow, after reading some of these threads on here, it is clear that we could really use a Muslim president. Or at least some education about the religion.

And I'm sure that those of you bashinbg Islam the most have never met, nor have any desire to meet a Muslim, and to find out that they are actually HUMAN beings like the rest of us, and not robots intent on destroying western society. That would be a threat to your backward worldview of white, Anglo American superiority.

And heaven forbid education and learning get in the way of traditional (wrong) beleifs

This argument wishes to impart a fantasy for reality.
On 9-11 one could only imagine (as I stated on 9-11 in another forum that such would be the case) that in short order the Democrats would be demanding we seat a Muslim as President, to prove we didn’t hate Muslims. And sure enough, only a few years after 9-11 Democrats sat the first Muslim congressional legislator and now is trying to seat the first Muslim President and at a time when Islam is murdering millions of people all around the world.

Yet this member comes to inform us of just how peaceful and forthright Islam is. The thrust of which is the shocking insight that Muslims are human beings. Which no doubt stands in stark contrast to the Communists and the Fascists that murdered hundreds of millions of innocent people in the 20th century.

I am all for Muslims which want to live in peace and who stand up against Jihad and openly and without qualification denounce Islamic terrorism. It should be noted that Keith Ellison is not such a Muslim as he has repeatedly stood UP for the Islamic terrorist proxies who are murdering innocent Israelis, the same Islamic terrorists whose members have stood with Afghan and Iraqi insurgents fighting American troops.

To vote for a Muslim is an act of sedition and the US will rue the day we let these foolish arguments be set out for consideration and tolerated the fools which endorse them.

I will gladly vote for any Muslim who runs for political office.

WOW...my point is made....education is needed....All faiths, colors, belief systems etc. have their share of good and bad folks-havent we as a society figured that out yet. Was Tim McVeigh a Muslim? Abortion bombers Muslim? Something tells me they dont bother you quite as much as you can probably identify with their cause more easily.

Wow, this country needs work....and watching FOX news isnt going to bring us any closer to what is needed

An act of SEDITION??? Maybe we should go through voting records and find out who voted for Keith Ellison in '06 and have then tried and executed.....Im sure youd like that.....more killing....YAAAAY

You know so little about American politics. Having an Islamic president would make us hate Muslims more.

Yea, but the rest of the world would love us more, and not hate us like they do now.

The U.S. doesn't care about the rest of the world. The rest of the world cares about us, and I for one, wish the rest of the world would shut up and mind their own business - or at least treat us like a client for Christ sake, seeing as we do buy everything and practically employ the world with our consuming.
