Default The fall of America.

Hi;

I have joined this forum to vent. I know there are very few people who have a mind set to change their point of view, so I will not attempt this in anyway.

I see the Socialist on the verge of taking America. If they do, I am worrying that if they get the leader they want, will this lead to "Tyranny" and the end to freedom as we know it?

I believe that the President of the free world should always be an Independent leader, not affiliated with any party, to over see and assure that freedom stays in place in America.

My heart breaks, to see America falling victim to the socialist movement.

A few comments... First off, the thought that a President will ever be independent of a party is absurd. Not that it's not a good notion in some respects, it'll just never happen.

I'm bound to get some sort of criticism for this, but you've got to look at the history of the United States to understand the limitations of Socialist changes in our society, and in our government. Minor semi-socialistic changes are beneficial to the United States as a whole. Look at the Progressive movement. Many would argue that a lot of goals of the Progressives, in both the Republican and Democratic parties, had some semi-socialist leanings, under the guise of Populism.

Look at the benefits that came with the Progressive movement. The FDA, National Parks, Corporate Regulation, trust-busting, anti-trust legislation, the banks system was revamped, tariffs were eliminated widely as a source of revenue for that age... The bottom line is that change due to necessity isn't a bad thing. We shouldn't look at changes in an unbalanced status-quo as negative.

In America, we have a socialist party, a freedom party, and the Republican party.

Vote Libertarian! (or support them if you live in Canada)

I disagree with the notion that any kind of socialism is beneficial to the United States.

Socalism is never beneficial to any society that wants to be free.

Your statement sounds like you are saying that only the Progressive movement is responsible for enacting change for the betterment of society.

Passing laws to better a society is an act of Democracy not socialism. Socialism is where an elitist group forces their will upon the people, just as you expressed in your post here, that only the Progressives will help the people.

The act of brainwashing a base with half-truths, untruths, and out right lies after first raising their emotions with hate, is Socialism 101. These are the same tactics used by the socialist to bring Hitler, Lenin, Castro and Chavez to power. And as proven in history, once they get power they turn Evil.

I have seen this hatred in the eyes of socialist/liberals when you try to confront their lies. If they get complete power someday will they have me jailed or killed for speaking up against them. Its pie's today is it goon's in the future?
