Default The Facts About Oil And How Democrats Will Destroy A Free America. Good Luck Comrades

The US has enough reserves to be the #1 oil producer in the world.

The Rocky Mountains contain three times the oil of Saudi Arabia.
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/s...toryId=5424033

An oil field was just recently discovered in the South Dakota/Montana region which has three times as much oil as the Rockies.
http://www.nextenergynews.com/news1/...news2.13s.html

There is also a tremendous amount of oil in the ANWR region.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arctic_...ng_controversy

So why is America NOT energy independent?
Because, over the past 30 years:

Democrats have blocked the development of new sources of petroleum.
Democrats have blocked drilling in ANWR.
Democrats have blocked drilling off the coast of Florida.
Democrats have blocked drilling off of the east coast.
Democrats have blocked drilling off of the west coast.
Democrats have blocked drilling off the Alaskan coast.
Democrats have blocked building oil refineries.
Democrats have blocked clean nuclear energy production.
Democrats have blocked clean coal production.

Instead, Democrats believe taxing and suing oil companies will somehow bring down gas prices.House Democrats passed legislation again to place $18 billion in new taxes on the largest oil companies.
http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2008/roll084.xml

And, democrats do this as Cuba and China drill off our shores.

The Federal Govermant makes more profit from oil taxes than the oil companies do.

Prediction

1 ) Instead of letting the oil companies Drill to meet the raising demand and become energy independant, Democrats have continously raised taxes on the oil companies and restricted them from drilling at home.

2 ) Whenever taxes are raised the burden is carried over to the consumer

3 ) Restricting the oil companies from drilling domesticly have forced us to become energy dependant on other countries. Many of which are our enemies.

4 ) Restricting profits from oil companies will result in less drilling. Why work 50 hours a week when your only getting paid for 40?

5 ) Restricting profits from oil companies will drive investors away from the oil companies in a free market causing the price of fuel to go higher. (note that most of americans retirement is in oil investments causing pensions to return at a considerably smaller rate.)

6 ) Raising costs of fuel will result in making the poor who cant afford new hybrid cars even poorer. It will also drive some of thoes in the lower middle class below the poverty line.

7 ) Raising costs of fuel will cause an extream hike in all products that are flown or driven. In other words EVERYTHING!

8 ) The effort to subsidise farmers to move tward growing corn for bio fuels will only result in more farmers growing corn instead of other crops.

9 )The lack of alternant crops will force us to import more food and compeat in a world economy dramatically raising the price of food in the U.S. and all over the world.

10 ) The price of milk, eggs, corn, chisken and all other animals that feed off of corn will sky rocket.

11 ) The rising prices in food and corn will cause people to restrict their spending and not invest in the economy. Money will trade hands slower and therefor the money will get taxed less generating less revenue for the economy and the goverment.

12 ) The slowing economy will result in massive layoffs due to the lack of profit in all industries. This will also cause less revenue for the goverment as people who are layed off do not pay taxes.

13 ) Democrats will insist that we raise taxes even higher due to the less revenue that the goverment is recieving from a slowing economy.

14 ) As the economy slows even more Democrats will continue to blame the oil companies for their mistakes.

15 ) The democrats will continue to punish the oil companies for no reason and move tward more taxation and regulation further moving the U.S. tward socialization.

16 ) As our economy is destroyed Democrats will blame Republicans and (Big Oil) further accusing the oil companies of price gauging and accusing Republicans of being in the pockets of the oil companies. (EVEN THOUGH THE US GOVERMENT MAKES MORE MONEY FROM OIL PROFITS THAN THE OIL COMPANIES DO!)

17 ) Democrats will blame the Rich for abusing the middle class and poor in an effort to tax the rich even more and redistribute their money to the poor through social programs. Social programs like socialized healthcare, welfare, and food stamps.

18 ) Americans who have become dependant on social programs for survival will continue to vote Democrat and demonize thoes who are not. Thinking that Democrats are looking out for their best interest they will continue to advocate redistributing wealth and punishing thoes who are "well off" at a considerably higher percentage than thoes who are not.

19 ) As the number of people who become dependant on the goverment increase the number of democratic votes will increase.

20 ) America will continue to move tward a socialized economy where the oppertunity for wealth and advancement is limited to corrupt goverment insiders and the Democrats have achieved their socialist dream!

And you thought Democrats cared about the enviroment and the "little guy"?

I know your smarter than that! The President cant do anything without the consent of congress. Democrats will not allow the president to sign a bill to drill domesticly! They have blocked every bill before it has made it to the presidents desk! And you cant say that he hasent asked! See here!

Republicans have always advocated drilling more in the US! Democrats have always voted against it! Quit trying to use our president as an imaginary escape goat for the actions of stupid Democrats!

uuuuhok, so you think Dubya was not responsible for anything that happened during the last 8 years, it's all the evil democrats fault. Riiight okidokes, glad we got that cleared up.

Oh and by the way, Florida Governors has been Republicans from the last 3 terms.. In fact it was his brother Jeb that told Dubya to go pound sand when asked if anyone can drill off the Florida coast.

Oil rigs with oily beaches and tourism don't go together very well.

Unfortunately this is how the American public views this issue and is somewhat true.

Now is the time two parties has work together to solve this number one problem we are facing before those evil OPEC nations suck us dry. It is also very obvious that the OPEC is taking revenge on US because the Iraq invasion; they may not say it but is obvious.

It looks like no matter what we do now, the oil price will continue to rise until Bush is out of office.

How will Bush being out of office restrict the oil prices from getting higher? Both Obama and McCain have crappy energy solutions! Bush is right on this issue!

Sure. As soon as you can show me the USA's National Energy Policy report. Ya know, the one from 2001, back when a barrel of oil was less than $30.00.

Oh thats right, you can't. No one can. This Bush Administration decided it was a State f*in Secret.

Ah, excellent. Then we are in agreement. Plenty of blame to go around.
