It's true, not just a sensational claim, if you ask any government official to actually produce a document that states that you need to pay your Income Tax, they won't be able to. In fact, the IRS cannot even produce it and to make matters worse, they say they are spending it on Roads, Education etc but these respective fields all have their own tax!

My advice. If you agree with the sentiment of this thread... don't pay your income tax. Then, when the nice folks from the IRS come to take your house away from you, make sure you tell that that what they're doing is illegal.

OK, so the IRS was set up to collect a Tax that doesn't get spent on anything but war? The Income Tax is a joke and is the yoke of imperialism that my ancestors overthrew! A Federal Tax on the income of people? The Income Tax is meant to be on corporate entities, income means profit not wage. Wage means that you have traded something for something else (usually Labor for Money). No where in the code of the IRS does it say tax the Wage, but instead the Income. The word has been manipulated to mean something entirely different.

I didn't say it was good. I didn't say I liked it. I was merely pointing out the stone cold fact that there is, in fact, a law that says you must pay. And anyone saying otherwise will soon figure out there is a law should they not pay. The Internal Revenue Code is law. And the IRS will be happy to show it to you anytime you want.

It is a manipulation of words though. The Supreme Court has overulled several cases of people not paying their income tax and the Supreme Court in fact declared that the Tax was unconstitutional!

Link? I must have missed that. Because of they did the Internal Revenue code would be gone. The fact it's still here means they didn't. And it's not manipulation of words. The code says:

It doesn't matter if there is no long saying that you have to pay income tax. There IS law saying you have to pay taxes that the government says you have to. Legislation was signed saying we have to pay income tax, therefor, we have to pay it. Despite semantics and details, there's no way to get around it.
