When businesses add that tax back to the customer. They will cry like new born, then the domino effect will happen again. When is the minimum wage increase going to hit?

I'm perfectly willing to pay more taxes in exchange for health insurance.

It's fairly easy math. Private health insurance would cost me X ... paying higher taxes will cost me Y ... which is lesser?

And for how many Americans is that true?

Pretty simple reasons you're gonna lose this argument, Republicans.

So you think the government is going to miraculously cover more people, encourage people to use medical services more, and somehow drive your personal cost down in the process? Its economically impossible!

I see. So if you were to find out you had cancer tomorrow, in which of those fine health care systems would you seek treatment? Costa Rica? Malta? Columbia?

It's always amusing when the whiners show up to boo-hoo about their taxes, yet they support spending $3 billion a week of their tax dollars on a needless war with no end.

A needless war, born from 100% false claims, that's killed 4,100+ of our troops, and will cause the deaths of more Americans is good, but health insurance for Americans is bad.

I guess they know their priorities.

waaah? wouldn't you rather invest more taxmoney in weapons rather than on education, healthcare and infrastructure for America?

The USA is not nearly spending enough on weapons. We need to bump it up from MORE THAN THE WORLD COMBINED to double it!

My problem isn't even how much of a waste it will be and the money part but how it will destroy our medical system. we have the best doctors and hospitals in the world and universal health care will destroy this. if there is one thing i don't want the government screwing up its my health.

No healthcare is good. Instead of eating at McDs and watching Dancing with the Stars, they should be running.
Education is good also, instead of watching MTV and Dancing with the Stars. they should be reading a book or being on this forum, couldnt hurt.
I thought weapons were for all of us, you know protecting everyone. Not just a taxing the hell out everyone for a few that cant make the higher food chain, like a socialized healthcare would.
