Although John McCain has actively been courting the endorsement of James Dobson, Dobson has not backed off his statement that he could not in good conscience vote for McCain because of concerns over the Arizona senator's conservative credentials.

So that goes in the loss column for John McCain.

McCain understands the major challenge of trying to run as a Republican without the endorsement the looney religious wacko's, so he's been combing the countryside trying to find replacements for the religious moonbats he previously had to throw under his "straight talk" bus.

Today, John McCain convened the press to announce he's found one. He now has a religious wacko firmly in his camp. He wants you to meet his newest spiritual advisor. He knows you'll be impressed.
