No, really. Show us some studies. Because I haven't been seeing them. I'd believe that since crime rates have been plumiting in the US there must be some place that's experienced some crime reduction related to gun laws. However I doubt they'd seen reduction on the order of magnitude seen in neighboring areas.

Beyond that I'd be interested if you could find any case where reduced gun control legislation resulting in an increase in crime.

No, your crime rate dropped when the “broken window” project was initiated. Not when your gunlaws became more strict.

Not true:

Handgun crime 'up' despite ban
BBC

Handguns were banned following the Dunblane massacre
A new study suggests the use of handguns in crime rose by 40% in the two years after the weapons were banned.
The research, commissioned by the Countryside Alliance's Campaign for Shooting, has concluded that existing laws are targeting legitimate users of firearms rather than criminals.

The ban on ownership of handguns was introduced in 1997 as a result of the Dunblane massacre, when Thomas Hamilton opened fire at a primary school leaving 16 children and their teacher dead.

Existing gun laws do not lead to crime reduction and a safer place

But the report suggests that despite the restrictions on ownership the use of handguns in crime is rising.

The Centre for Defence Studies at Kings College in London, which carried out the research, said the number of crimes in which a handgun was reported increased from 2,648 in 1997/98 to 3,685 in 1999/2000.

I did!! Foca, you should as well!! It honestly will answer a lot of your questions! What argument are you making that the right to bear arms is not constitutionally protected? If you want, here is a link!

the only reason crime is down in NYC is b/c the thugs have been put in jail and Rudy busted some balls to do so. it has nothing to do with a gun ban.

also the constitution clearly states that citizens have the right to carry a gun.

That's not even the issue here!!! It is a constitutional issue!! Even if I accepted that guns are bad, which I don't, I would still want to know what argument Foca has to make, that the right to bear arms is not a constitutionally protected right?

well FO,it just seems strange that Wash DC,and Chicago and a few other "gun controlled" cities are at the top of the violent crimes list, while other non-controlled,or lets say, more lax,are no where near those cities in the numbers....crist LA has gang shootings weekly, but they are way down from those guys....WHY?....do guns on the property make a difference?....lets see what DC,who is quite high on the lists, looks like in a year or so.....if they drop noticeably, what will you say then?.....

I find this comment hysterical. It is you and the anti gun lobby that continuously fails to provide proof of your claims. Perhaps it is you and yours that are totally lost!
