Default On Guns

The conservative fairweather hero the "activist justice" had a big week.

They ruled, despite the context written into the ammendment itself, that firearms are a constitutional right.

Well, that's a bunch of crap.

I've tried to reason with gun nuts. If you're a law abiding citizen in some state where guns are just part of the backwards no-neck culture, fine. Blow your head off.

Now you're telling us that we have to let everybody have guns on our streets, in my town.

This is part of an ebb and flow; as the guns flood in, crime and death will return.

All because gun-nuts can't keep their goddam ideas to themselves.

What happened to "Local government" doing what works for them?

Oh, right, that's a bunch of crap for "We want your tax dollars, but you have to adopt our regressive culture"

So, when these local laws are overturned, and crime and death go up, understand that the causation: gun-humping ideologues who circle-jerked their way into power.'

Fortunately, that power is on the wane.

When handguns were banned in your city crime shot up astronomically. Yet you blame crime on the presence of guns? Virginia the wonderful state that near you experiences far lower crime rates. Why? 'Because you can buy howitzers at bake sales!'

Your under some dilusion that the people responsible for all the shootings in your city had there guns registered during the ban? And that allowing regular people to own guns won't decrease crime like its done in every other state! Guns are necessary to a free state wether there used in militias or not. The people who worte it were very clear on this.

You're in DC? Your little flag thingy says New York. I didn't know they banned guns in New York.

No, you're not biased at all. Nope.

P.S. I am for guns, but do not own one. However, if Obama is elected, I will have one or two before he gets a chance to blow up the laws regarding guns.

How is it considered activism when a group of judges rightly interpret the Constitution?

US citizens have had the right to own guns for over 200 years.

i find it amazing that all these anti-gun people, who live in these cities that have had gun bans for years, but yet have the highest crime rates in the country, feel that it now is going to get worse, even though, time and time again, crime rates decline in areas of gun ownership....i am willing to bet that one year from now,Washington DC's crime rate will decline....and it will be NOTICABLE...

What you consider a correct interpretation is different from mine. It's always activism.

See, you call it activism when you simply disagree. The point is your terms are easily applied when your ideologue justices "legislate from the bench."

Need I describe what a SCOTUS ruling means?

B) BS, Show me a study, I show you a study. Round and round we go. But, look at the correlation between stiffer gun laws, and crime. Guns go bye-bye, so does gun crime.

It's really not rocket science.

No, silly. It's not their girlish whines that get to me, it's that they're usyrping what my city wants for what podunk nobodies want. Understand?

Demonstrably, they don't understand the city.

My suggestions have never been banning guns where people want them; it's keeping criminals from exploiting those places to smuggle guns where people don't want them.

Exactly MY POINT. Nice. Yes, why can't virginia do what works for it, without making the bronx more dangerous?

I would never claim to not be biased.

And we're all very impressed.

All he's ever suggested was closing gun-show loopholes, and limiting the number of guns purchased at one time.

You know, to stop illegal gun running
