Well, to be fair, Obama didn't go into Vietnam because he wasn't even a teenager yet.

It is

All other things being equal, would you vote for the war hero or the guy who stayed home?
wrong
Clark began his comments by recognizing mKKKain's patriotism and service to his country. however, when mKKKain's POW status was cited as being a credential qualifying him for the office of president Clark accurately noted that crashing an aircraft and being captured were not qualities that were essential to being a good president.
it was the mKKKain spin team, recognizing their candidate has nothing to offer, that spun Clark's comments as being demeaning. in fact, Clark was factual ... those facts do not reflect positively on the mKKKain candidacy

McCain's being shot down in Vietnam and being a POW for 5 and 1/2 years qualifies him to be an authority on air combat and survival. My hat is off to him for both. He commanded a peacetime squadron and that qualifies him to be a leader who has assumed large responsibility. Does he have experience making command decisions in war? No. Is that experience necessary for a president? No.

McCain's military record - let's forget about his senatorial record for a little while -- makes him much more qualified than Obama.

1) He has been trained, and operated, within the government complex.
2) He has received a significant amount of formal leadership training.
3) He has managed a large, multi-million dollar government operation.
4) He has solicited, and justified, budget request.
5) He has managed government personnel, both military and civilian, and has been trained on HR issues.
6) He has attended countless classes on race, sex, and ethnic sensitivities. (Clearly, from Michelle's comments, Rev Wright's comments, and Barak's comments, they haven't)

Can somebody give me Obama's comparable experience?

No. But nearly sinking an aircraft carrier of the United States Navy does.

Guess who's fuel tank ignited that started this mess?

What a load of bull!

His aircraft is one of 30-40 sitting on the deck. Either it, or another one is struck by a missile from a third plane.

And, it's supposed to reflect on the candidate?

Give me a break --

And, to be fair, he also didn't join the military after graduation from college. He also didn't volunteer for peacekeeping missions directed by the leader of his party. His positions, and his votes, have been consistently anti-military.
