Post Who Dares Oppose Obama?

Certainly not the media.

In the thick of the fight over the wrong Reverend Wright, Barack Obama put on his annoyed face and said the whole issue of his preacher's hate speech was a distraction from the real issues, like health care and education and war. So many in the media were quick to agree. But now that the primaries are over, the network news crews aren't covering the issues. They're warbling a happy tune about all of Barack and Michelle Obama's wonderful personal qualities.

...."The most glaring example of a double standard on candidate personalities came from CBS's "The Early Show." On June 18, CBS reporter Jeff Glor tried to list five things we didn't know about Obama, and he oozed that in addition to bicycling and basketball, Obama loves to play Scrabble. But he hates ice cream, since he worked at a Baskin-Robbins as a teenager. CBS co-host Julie Chen declared: "So Rocky Road is like his Kryptonite?"

On June 23, CBS lined up five things you might not know about McCain, and check out the difference in tone. He wasn't born in the United States, but in the Panama Canal Zone. He was nicknamed "the punk" in high school, a reputation that "followed to the Naval Academy," where he graduated fifth from the bottom of his class. When he crashed in Vietnam, it was "It was not his first, it was not his second. It was his third crash as a pilot....""

Right. The media wouldn't THINK of "opposing" Obama.

That's why they only ran the Rev. Wright You Tube tapes 1,341,009 times instead of 1,341,010. That's why they limited mention of the "bitter" comments to the hours of Midnight to 11:59 pm and only did that on Monday through Sunday.

Yeah. The media. They would NEVER say anything bad about Obama.

Hmmmmmmmm, what will voters care more about??

Oh wake up ole man. Do you ever hear about Williams Ayers and/or the press conference by Larry Sinclair covered by the media? They've shut it up and buried it, and yeah, Sinclair is a felon, people that do cocaine, usually are. Eh? If Sinclair had been talking about Clinton or McCain it would have been all over or they would have at least had to address it.

You k-n-o-w it's true, and you would have been gigglin' about it along with the rest of the obamaniacs.

Barack's got a free ride, dear man, you fill up your glass and enjoy it while it lasts.

Another Larry Sinclair believer. The media know better than to give air time to a felon who's failed two polygraphs. It says a lot about you that you choose to believe him.

Im just mad the media doesn't cover the issues.

I hardly think Obama is getting a "free ride," but they aren't challenging either candidate to stan on their issues, rather they are diverging the topic of conversation to who knows who and typical smear campaigns.

Is that so?: The media knows better....
Would you believe it if Sinclair had said it about McCain instead of Barack?

There's more real issues talked about during a presidential campaign here than there is in the US. And we don't even have a free media like you do.

I agree that the media doesn't cover the issues , but Obama has had an easy ride .The media was biased during the Primaries and anyone who does not think so is blind.

I can imagine that is true. How do they address the issues on McCain and Obama? I know McCain has flipflopped - do they note the recent flipflops in just the past 2 weeks that Obama has made? Barack has abandoned his vow to reopen the North American Free Trade Agreement, did not oppose a Supreme Court decision striking down Washington's gun ban and said he would support expanding the government's wiretap authority.
