Subsidizing Ethanol
Is wrong. In stead of wasting money to subsidize a product that could not survive in the free market, we should subsidize gasoline.
I know you liberals can't grasp the idea, but I'm going to try to explain. Ethanol is (and this is a proven fact) less efficient than gasoline. You get less for your money with ethanol. It costs more (the price is subsidized down) and the power generated is less - even with cars specially built for ethanol. So, the government has been spending our money on making it more affordable, but if they spent that money on gasoline it would be far more effective because we would be getting the optimal use out of that money.
I am not a fan of subsidies in the first place, I think welfare in all forms is bad, but if we're going to do it we might as well do it right.
I'm also not a fan of big government, and I think if they have that money to waste that I could waste it better, cut my taxes so I don't have to live with your mistakes, mother government.
