Default Vote for Obama and lose your job

Obama is promising to take the cap off of the social security taxes that a business pays. This means for most business paying an extra 7.5% taxes off the top.
For me to pay this extra tax I am going to have to lay off some of my low level workers because I can not lose my sales force and management. And I am sure that most companies are going to have to face the same choices.
Personally I think you would have to be a fool to risk people’s jobs to vote for Obama.

yes, i feel for you. since this affects only those people who make more than $102,000 annually, it will cost 7.2% (the other 0.3% for medicaid was never subject to a cap) of your wages which exceed $102,000

now, lay off those low wage employees to cover the difference and tell us how it is Obama's fault that you will soon lose the social security contribution subsidy for high wage earners. we will be here shedding a tear for your personal misfortune while applauding Obama for finding a common sense solution to fixing the social security shortfall problem

He's just a typical whiney Republican that wants to create some bogus issue to deflect attention away from the prospects of a third term for the disasterous policies of George W. Bush.

This reminds me of the attacks on Pres. Clinton, is there no end to the Republican propaganda?

Vote for the third parties. Ron Paul will be a write in, Ralph Nader is a great option for president, Bob Barr may hate Wiccans and want them not allowed in the military, but other than his religious ingorance he would make a nice president, and then there's Cynthia McKinney who is a little obsessed, but she is more popular than you think . She will be slightly if not even a bigger spoiler than you might think.

Ignore Dems and Repubs. They'll get the idea next year. People need to look for choices, not limit themselves to two parties. A fool would take either McCain or Obama when there are other great choices.

My business would have to pay the extra 7.5% SSI tax as part of my payroll taxes. Lets see now are you telling me to lay off my sales force all which make over 100k and who sells my products, or do they just magically sell themselves. Lay off management? They all make over 100k, this is in California, all these high paid employees wok long hours to earn their money. Hmm lets see I can do all their jobs and work 100 hours a week, except that would (*)(*)(*)(*) off my wife and destroy my kids.
So how do I pay for an extra 7.5% payroll tax????Hmmm Can’t raise my prices, everyone is strapped for cash. So what is left, I have line employees making up to 20 and hour. I can easily offshore this work to china and increase my profits but these people have families and I would hate to do that. So where does this extra money come from? Since I can’t create money out of thin air I am going to have to offshore at least some of the work to pay for the tax increases.
I would suggest that you try to run a business with employees just to see how tight money is and how the more taxes hurt and the regulations I could go on.

hahaha so lets vote McCain so he can continue an illegal war and swell are Federal deficit even higher. What did Joseph Stiglitz say this war would cost? I think 3 trillion was his very conservative figure, but more realistically 5 trillion dollars. Can't complain about a few jobs for the people being paid the least when voting for McCain will hit the economy significantly harder.

what are you running, a business or a social services organization?

if you have been paying for labor more than you have needed the place to cut is the individual who decided to make the company's goods/services more costly and uncompetitive than they needed to be. whoever would make such a crazy, irrational business decision should be the one you let go

and you blame your business' problems on the administration of a man who has not yet been elected. here is some free advice. when the market returns and you can get a good price, sell that concern and operate a non-profit organization; it would seem you are better skilled for the latter

I know but I have the lifestyle I want. My employees have families. This is a small town I know my employees and their families. Our kids play soccer together and it would hurt me and my wife not to be able to keep employing these people. We have a very good thing going for everyone, I live the lifestyle I want and my employees are happy.
To have Obama come in and raise my taxes forcing me to lose this life I have is a disgrace. God please let me just do business without any more taxes or regulations.
