After watching this VT case, I believe the federal gov't need to pass a federal version of Jessica's Law. States like VT led by hard lefties won't fight for Jessica's law. I think it would be smart just for political reasons for Obama to call and bring this bill up.

I hate federal laws , each state should pass a law that is similar

i hate them to but the point is these states won't do it, and the American people can't pressure VT while we can pressure the feds. they got this guy on federal charges in this case b/c he crossed state lines with the girl but that isn't always the case. If VT gov't won't protect its citizens America should.

But there are instances where the states simply will not pass them! Vermont is one such example with Jessica's law! In the interest of protecting Vermont's children from the poor judgment of Vermont's adults, the federal government should step in IMHO!
