The talk of a time horizen sounds as if we may just start to do something. It gives me the idea that the Iraq people have finally said enough is enough. I think this has more to do with them then us.

Actually we've actually been their long enough things are finally getting stable, the government has built up a whack of cash, and they're talking about us leaving. In short we stayed the course, and now it's time to get off at the docks.

So to make them look good I'd let the Iraqi government call the shots on how fast we move out. Which is starting to sound like it might be about as quick as Obama.

It'd be nice to keep a presence there. But we can visit the idea of coming back later. For now the Iraqi government needs credibility, and if finishing the job right means a total pull out for now so be it.
