I have heard that these crackpots actually approached Bill Clinton with this grand plan of invading the Middle East and Clinton kinda laughed them out of his office.

Well, who's laughing now?

NOBODY!

It's kinda hard to attack the US, when our military is engaging the terrorists on a daily basis in a never ending war.

Instead of an additional 4,000 civilians being killed in another 9/11, we have 4,000 military personnel voluntarily being killed in mini terrorist attacks in Iraq.

Is that what you're referring to?

Icon9 Unfortunately they won't be brought to justice

Imagine if someone out there, east of the Grand Banks, were to have been responsible for actions that led to:

# the deaths of between 60 000 and 150 000 civilians
# the wounding of the world's largest economy
# providing global enemies with a gift of new recruts for which they, those enemies, had to spend not one cent on recruiting
# the telling of blatant lies to the Security Council of the United Nations
# the undermining of the Geneva Convensions

They would have George the Younger on their doorstep tommorrow with a large fleet and sabres rattling 24/7, demanding the hand-over of the main perpetrators to the International Criminal Court for speedy trial.

And so it should be.

Except when America is the perpetrator, according to the US and perhaps no-one else except Israel. Now why does that not sound like the flagship of democracy and freedom speaking?

Because it isn't.

Not so much. We're mainly engaging insurgents. The "terrorists" (Al Qaeda and their surrogates) are becoming stronger every day as a direct result of the Iraq war.

Just lock them in a room and give dick a shotgun, that should take care of everything.
