As I read through the progression of this thread, the theme seems to drift from "the Republican party is hosed" to "at least we're not as bad off as the Libertarians".
That, my friends, is what you call a red herring.

The Republican Party self-destructed. McSame is gonna give it the death-blow with a spectacular defeat this Nov. It will join the Libertarian Party as a party with kook status.

McCain will and should be crushed in November. The party that he supports is lost in the woods looking for a way out. It seems that they are scrambling to grab Obama's ideas. They will do anything to tae the life off of the idea of change. Yes we can. Yes we can.

When did this happen? When they were taking over congress from Clinton and controlling the house, the senate, the Presidency, and the gubenatorial slots for eight years? The dems did nothing the public liked to gain some power back, they were just the only alternative. And when the dems screw up, as they inevitably will, the pendulum will quickly swing back. There is a party of kooks all right. It's the party of taxes and high spending that somehow thinks what was a spectacular failure under Carter is gonna actually work this time. LOL.

Yawn. Another article dug up from some kook leftist website.

No wonder he never LINKS his sources. They'd lose credibility.

Is that the new talking-point buzz-word, "collectivist statist?" Ike warned us of what has become reality. Clearly we haven't listened.

The Republicans love to attach labels to things. Apparently it helps them understand complex issues if they can put it in a box with a nice comfortable label. In this case however, I don't have the slightest clue what your label is supposed to mean. I did a google and a yahoo search on the term "collectivist statist". Nothing. Which is surprising, unless you just made it up today, because it's almost impossible to find a term that's NEVER been used before.
