Further, I said there were two states...

Florida - 25 electoral votes
Bush 49%
Gore 49%
Nader 2%

New Hampshire - 4 electoral votes
Bush 48%
Gore 47%
Nader 4%

Bush won by 271 to 266 in electoral votes.

If either of those states had gone the other way, Bush would have lost.

Just so we don't go too far. Stop associating what other people say, with what I am saying. I want a multi party system. BUT, I don't want to see another president that didn't get a majority vote....

And, I agree. I dislike the Democratic party too....But that doesn't change the statistics or reality of what has happened or what can happen again.

And just because the lesser of two evils is still evil, that's no reason to vote for the devil
Alas, we would not have had these years of dubya.

Again, this is not accurate. People who say "That third party candidate Ralph Nader cost Gore the election!" are not factoring in the Democrats who voted for Bush and the registered Democrats who didn't even bother to vote:

"Twelve percent of Florida Democrats (over 200,000) voted for Republican George Bush"
-San Francisco Chronicle, Nov. 9, 2000

Even if none of the factors mentioned above had happened, the votes of Florida voters themselves show that Ralph Nader was not responsible for George W. Bush's presidency. If one percent of these Democrats had stuck with their own candidate, Al Gore would easily have won Florida and become president. In addition, half of all registered Democrats did not even bother going to the polls and voting."
