I would have a different point of view if the greatest country in the world(USA) had a better health care system than it does now. It doesn't. This health care system is about making money for hospitals and doctors, not about keeping people healthy because it's for the good of the nation.

Or just write a will and you can choose what happens to your parts.

Actually the USA has the best "healthcare" in the world, as far as the services provided.

Then if they can pay for every illegal to drop a load then why should anyone pay for insurance? You have to pick up all those costs in your insurance, if you didn't the insurance and care would cost much less. 20 million people are here illegally without insurance of any kind. You think if they can use someone else's identity for a job they are going to be lawful and pay their hospital bills too?

See, I don't get this answer that was given by many of you. If you don't care where your organs go, or what happens to them, by do you care that they go to someone who needs them? If you truly don't care like you guys say.

My wife and I have discussed that if one of us dies. The other stays until our bodies are cold....that way we KNOW the organs weren't taken against our permission. I don't trust anyone. I've been screwed by a hospital in the past, and I would like to think I learned a lesson

Just all these tough attitudes of people not giving a crap about where their organs go, or what happens to them, yet they want them given to a person who deserves them. Doesn't make sense.

You that don't have the brains or compassion to donate may find yourself in serious need one day, and let's see what your opinion is then if there isn't something compatable for you.

Only 5% of Americans donate, and the same 5% of us know how to properly perform CPR. WTF?

I'm donating my body to the University of Hawaii. They'll benefit from research and give a caring service as they spread the ashes off Waikiki, where I'll rest with many of my friends and heros.

I care about where my organs go, but like I said, I don't give a crap if someone makes a profit off them. I don't care about what happens to my body after I have died, eithor, to be honest.

It's not a duty for me to donate my organs. They're my organs, I was born with them. I don't have the brains? What does brains have to do with donating organs?

I'm not donating my organs until the system with which they are donated changes. Everyone on this earth has to pay for hospitals and doctors to take of them. That or they get no health insurance at all. In return for paying massive amounts of money to doctors and hospitals, when you die, they rape your body, and make hundreds of thousands of more dollars off of you. So that doctor can pay off his 150ft yacht.
Why do you care about saving someone when you die, but you don't care about the bigger picture. Which is how organ donations, and the health system is conducted in this country? This system is ran to make max profit off of the people, not saving lives.

The system IS made to save lives, that is what organ donation is all about. Why should you care about how much money is made off you just as long as your organs can be used to save the life of someone else?

Would you refuse to donate your organs simply because you didn't want someone to get rich off you after you died?
