Default Being An Organ Donor

Check this out. Fictional story for me, but is true for others.

I'm uninsured, 30 years old, an organ donor, and walking down the street. Suddenly, I'm struck by a moving vehicle. I've no chance to live, and my liver & heart are salvageable.
Because I'm an organ donor, my organs are going to people in the hospital who need them badly.

Here's my thoughts about being an organ donor and uninsured:

When you die in the hospital with good organs, they are salvaged by the hospital. These "donated" organs go to people who need them, that's a good thing, but what most people don't understand is this.

Hospitals & Doctors make hundreds of thousands of dollars off your organs, by transplanting them into patients who need them, then charging the patient, and his/her insurance company.

My thoughts. Might sounds greedy, but it's still what I believe for now:
Why should I donate my uninsured organs to hospitals, who'll make hundreds of thousands of dollars off of them, and just throw me aside. My life wasn't deemed insurable to the government while I was alive. The government didn't make sure I received health care to take care of my organs, maybe so I can stay in good health, and god forbid, I could donate healthy organs if I ever needed to. The government could care less about me, and my health, until I was dead, then they wanted my organs.

Hospitals can care less about actually saving a life with your organs, as much as they care about the amount of money they will make by taking your organs, that they never helped you keep healthy, and make hundreds of thousands of dollars off them.

All organ donors need to be insured, whether or not they're life is deemed insurable through a job. If you are willing to give your organs to save a life when you die, why shouldn't you get taken care of when you are alive, and not only if you're making enough money?

I'm not an organ donor, and I don't know if I will ever be. I would donate if my family or close friends ended up needing one, if they even qualified, but for now, my organs go with me to the ground.
This is more about a statement and a stand against greedy corporations and practices.
When ALL organ donors are insured for just being an organ donor, then I will put the little d on my license, until then, they're coming with me.

I'm insured (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*). I said this in theory, for 10s of millions of Americans who aren't insured.

And the rest of the world owes me nothing? Exactly! I owe the rest of the world nothing either. That's my point, duh. If I'm uninsured, despite my employment, because the government deems my life worthless, why should I die, and put hundreds of thousands of dollars into their pockets, while receiving nothing in return, before, and after I die?

ignorance is bliss for you isn't it?

When i am dead they can have what they want. Doesn't matter to me. I would only hope that organs that they took gave someone a good life.

I think putting long-time organ donors on the top of the organ waiting lists if they ever need an organ themselves is a fair incentive to become an organ donor.

I don't know why anyone would not want to donate their unused organs.

I'm just saying. For uninsured donors. They get nothing before and after in return for their donated organs. While the government makes hundreds of thousands of dollars off of your organs.

The government doesn't want to insure your health, but they sure want your organs when you die. They don't want to help you take care of them while your alive, but they want the BIG $$ when you die.

The government wins on both sides. They spend no time or money helping you stay healthy, and when you die, they make hundreds of thousands of dollars, at a cost of very very little.

Just not fair for people.
