Default Democrat Congressman Wexler lives in Maryland

unfortunately he represents the 19th District of Florida. You may have seen this on the O'Reilly Factor. Wexler claims to have a residence in the 19th District but it is owned by his mother-in-law and Wexler doesn't actually live there.

Well Maryland is better than Florida lol.

But seriously it makes a lot more sense for him to live in Maryland right next to DC since ya know he is in Congress which is based in DC, next to Maryland........

Nearly every member of Congress has their main residence in the D.C. area and a legal-fiction residence in their district. Which only makes sense, because they spend most of the year in session. You move your family to D.C., put your kids in D.C.-area schools, etc.

Not everybody does it, of course, but a lot do. Especially senators and long-serving representatives.

I'm wondering if the thread parent expects the congressman to commute daily to Florida while Congress is in session.

Wow, what a scoop by FauxNews!

8 years of rape, pillage, bribes and naughty sexcapades by the repubs and O'lielly goes after a technicality by a dem.

Hey, O'Lielly didn't EXPLAIN it like you guys did! Give the OP a break!

(What's funny is that O'Lielly claimed one reason Wexler did this was to avoid paying Florida income taxes. Florida HAS no income taxes.)
