Well i would leave out the lord part. You can laugh at a pacifist attitude if you like.
I believe in peace. I believe in trust. I believe in hope. I believe in negotation and talks that lead to enlightenment. Yes I beleive in people as well not just some. It may be laughable to many. That's okay. I also believe that was what America stood for. I hear racist terms still hanging in the air. I see distrust of Muslims just because of their faith. I listen to the words of gay bashers. This is America and I feel deep down that it has lost it's way. I think America needs to take a hard look at itself. We need to not stand on political sides as we look. We should take off the blinders of Liberal and conservative tags and just look at what America is. When I look at America I see this. IMO we need to focus on rebuilding the rubble of our reputation. It's time that the world look here and be inspired. Ronald Reagan saw that greatness in America. He inspired a world. Here we sit myred in a war that is globally unpopular. Our educational system is coming apart, inner cities are falling apart, health care is so expensive, roads need rebuilding, gas prices are to high, a trip to the grocery store has become so expensive and we wallow in a war spending millions each day. I see so much good here. I have filmed so many great moments and people who add to us all in their own way. Teachers, community leaders, clergy, social workers touch the masses everyday. I grew up in a home where my parents tought me about the American Dream. They filled me up on the goodness of America. Now the dream is houses being taken away, families being displaced, seniors that can't afford medicine, young families that don't even dream of owning a home and people that can't afford to put food on the table. In a debate against, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan asked a question of the American people "are you better of today then you were four years ago." Wow what a question during a time when the economy was in a mess interest rates were sky high and hostages were being held in Iran. I look America today and ask myself that same question. Am I better off today? Are we better off today then we were 7+ years ago. I only laugh to myself and say "In my dreams." I am a believer in hope and the American Dream. I am a pacifist. I take pride in the fact that i protested this war from the moment it was mentioned. I heard people call me names as i protested in Chicago and NewYork. Now the numbers have shifted. Many of those voices have turned silent. I believe the opinions of the war have changed. You can laugh if you like at an ultra liberal pacifist if you like. It's okay. You can sing little tunes about me. All that is fine. In my life I have heard so many make fun of my beliefs it doesn't hurt. I do believe in the American Dream as much as anyone here or wherever you go. I hold peace as my banner and love in my heart. I refuse to allow a politics of fear daunt my spirit. I continue to believe that one day we will turn the corner and again inspire a world and give it hope.

I believe the democrat congress in one of the many war funding bills they passed, put in a provision of checks that the Iraq government must attain for our continued presence. I also believe the democrat congress has the authority to defund the war, but have opted against that strategy. So my answer is as simple as your question, check the checks put into the war funding bills. If the Iraq government is meeting the timelines proposed by your party then I guess we can declare success. If they are failing to meet those timelines then you and your party can claim the success you desire and declare defeat. Or your precious democrats can grow some balls and defund the war.

Obviously you are still having problems comprehending what you read. Your party of limp wristed appeasers has had the authority to defund this war for 2 years. They have opted not to do so, we are still in Iraq because they lied to you and you couldn't figure it out. You are frustrated with your inability to place the blame where it truly lies (democrat congress) and resort to silly, childish rants.
