That is horribly sad and that punk deserves the death penalty.

I do think Larry should have been talked to and dealt with over his harrassment towards other students....which should be recognized was his way of coping with the bullying he was recieving.

I dont agree on clothes though. I work in a school here and there is no dress code at all. We have some kids who really do create some "looks". Some I am not fond of and others are downright theatrical. We even have days at school we call "extreme day" and kids come to school dressed in all kinds of crazy ways...my son always favored some clown make-up.

The outrageous dress and trying to stand out as an individual is encouraged instead of discouraged. I think its GREAT. I see so many different types of kids and they do enjoy expressing themselves and since its encouraged and done so much, its not distracting nor does it mark someone as "different or bad".

Instead of trying to make everyone fit into one mold, I think we could be better off encouraging kids to go ahead and be their unique selves. Give them support to experiment and laugh with them when an experiment goes wrong (like a bad dye job).

One of my best students changes the color of her hair weekly...and I mean bright pink, turqoise blue, lavender etc. I have to admit, she pulls it off well though! Not only is she a good student, she is quite sweet and certainly quirky! I would hate to see this part of her discouraged.

Where's the proof that this kid was killed based on his homosexuality?

Here we are in America. I see a story like this and am taken back by it.

This is where the hate that is spewed out gets us. Innocent life is taken. People die over hate. We hear the launching of missles in our words when we degrade and pick on people we think less than we.

We arm a child to kill another child with the messages of bigotry. We put guns in their hands that we say are bought to protect. It is a society of violence in word and deed. I am sad not that we lost one child but we lost two and we lost some of ourselves in the action as well.

When this happens we may not know either of the people involved but we must look at ourselves and examine who and what we are.

How did my life help to cause this?
I ask myself what more could i have said or done to stop the anger in our society?

We have become all to immune to death.
As in all days acceptance is the answer.

He was killed no matter what he was. Isn't that enough?

Yes, he seems innocent. Where's the full story on this though? Where's the proof that he was killed based on him being a homosexual?

Who armed the child? No one is for giving children access to guns. Whether you ban guns or not, they'll still find a way to kill people; Billy the Kid.

You don't know the full story. Unless you know on what grounds he was killed...you can't say 100% that he's innocent.

IMHO, by good intuition I think that this kid was innocent. But you have no proof that he was killed based on him being a homosexual. At least accept that.

Brandon committed PREMEDITATED MURDER and should be tried as an adult.

I'm still trying to figure out how you can be harassed by someone who's 5'1". Regardless, he should have reported it to his teachers or principles. That's a no brainer. Most people can figure that out in kindergarten.
