The only pricipal that Bush/Cheney/Rove have is that of being busted royal, yet again, and are simply stalling for time, waiting for the moment they can make a run for it.

Sadly, the real question is why should anyone do anything this congress wants? This congress is unwilling or unable to keep their oaths to uphold the constituion. I don't know how they can look at themselves in the mirror. As a Baltimorean, I am ashamed that Pelosi comes from Baltimore.

More than a few of us here are more interested in responsible and honest government than we are interested in partisan loyalty. Wrong is wrong, party be (*)(*)(*)(*)ed. I for one was just as critical of Bill Clinton.

I hear you Rusticus. This Congress is (*)(*)(*)(*) near as bad in their own way as George Bush has been as a president. Pelosi is hosed up. She is so deep into the Washington/Corporate machine that she is completely owned. It is sickening, I agree.

Here's the problem, we have a two party system and in November even though Congress sucks like a bucket of ticks Americans will still vote party line for the most part. Two parties rule the nation. Either party is at bat or on deck. That isn't bad. You are always in the big leagues and the worst you can do is come in second place. Most Americans are going to vote party line no matter what. Why that is is beyond me. Most important of all Congress knows this.

Congress give a sh*t what we think. Most will be re-elected anyway. Why is Ted Stevens in hot water after 40 years? Because he's gotten away with it for 40 years. The odds are very much in your favor if you are a dishonest Congressman. You probably won't get caught and if you do you'll be excused in most cases.

The system isn't going to change because the People of the United States have abdicated their right to self govern. That is the name of that tune.
