A very interesting thing has come to my attention, namely, most of the people I talk to, whether it's my friends or people on forums, are leftists who hold the fervent conviction that their views are correct and that the rightists are: mislead, brainwashed by the media, that they believe the "lies" Bush has told them, that they are conformist etc...

But who is really the conformist when 90 % of the world is saying: Bush is an evil liar! Bush needs to be impeached! He only attacked Iraq because of oil! etc...

Who is really brainwashed and mislead when they are all saying the same things over and over again, despite contrary evidence?

Certain leftists have said that we need to wake up and see the "truth" about Bush. But they should ask themselves: Is it really them who need to be woken? Is it not me who is following the crowd and public opinion if I think, say and believe the exact same things as the people around me do?

I see this quite often, but it is probably due to the fact that the mainstream and youth are growing up liberal. I'm sure the opposite could be said in some heavily conservative areas.
