Children are more expensive than that. The cost in emotional and physical energy one expends on raising a child or children is incalculable.

GHWB's first clue should have been when his son was not able to enroll in several colleges in Texas. No, no, wait...his first clue should have been when his son became a cheerleader in prep school.

His second clue was that W couldn't get into the University of Texas.

The third clue should have been when W got arrested for possession of cocaine.

The next clue should have been when W challenged Bush the Elder to an old fashioned ass whipping out on the front lawn.

The next clue should have been that W couldn't pass the pee test to continue to fly in the TANG.

The next clue d*mn sure should have been when his son couldn't stick it in the air national guard and went AWOL.

I don't know it all, but there are many more clues GHWB and Barbara "Beautiful Mind" Bush should have seen. But WTF, they had other priorities.
