Many homophobics are homophobic because of their religion, the bible tells them to basically discriminate against people who are gay, others are because of maybe being molested by someone who was homosexual, others could be homophobic because they dont want to become gay themselves so they are afraid of homosexuals. Homophobia can come from just about anywhere.

I think anyone who is afraid of someone because of who or what that person has sex with, is smart. Why?

1. Because of what you might catch, just by letting them cut your hair with a sharp instrument.
2. Because of what you might see, that you wish you never saw.
3. Because of what you might smell, shortly after what they might have done.
4. Because of what you might hear, that you wish you never heard.
5. Because of the people you might meet, that you wish you never met.

i became a bit homophobic as a kid when by dad's gay friends would eye me sexually without actually engaging in a constructive conversation with me at my dad's gay parties. not all, but a few.

when i ceased contact with him for a few years, my homophobia ceased, although my belief system changed a great deal with it.
