Default We're here, we're Socialists, we're PROGRESSIVE, and we back OBAMA

I'll keep this rather simple: no more spin. No more buzz words. No more walking on eggshells about our agenda.

We are socialist in nature, we appreciate the finer points of Marxism, we denounce capitalism and the free-markets, we're proud Democrats... and we will WIN this election and CHANGE America with Barack Obama!

Some call us "Progressives"... and that's ok. Some have called us "liberals" in the past, and that's ok, too. But given the broad support, especially from Europe, of Barack Obama... the time is right for us Democrats to stand united against the Republican machine and proudly wear our identities on our sleeve. We are Socialists.

Socialism works. There are no Socialist nations at war. There are no defined "classes" in Socialist nations. Everyone gets plenty of paid vacation time in Socialist nations. Everyone is covered by government health care in Socialist nations. Taxation is fair in Socialist nations.

It's time to follow Obama's lead and adopt "progressive-Socialist" policies that will trend our nation towards peace and equal rights and equal assets for all Americans.

Anybody who disagrees is simply living in denial.

Vote Obama for CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN!

Well, decades of greedy over the top capitalism and a multitude of under-handed republicans sure havn't done us much good, and now we have the most spineless examples of Democrats in office, so let's try something else.

Default Change...Are You Sure?

Personally and socially, I have nothing against Barack Obama. I most often ignore the negative comments about his citizenship, religion, and his ties to the black community. I am more interested in his policy ideas, and what they can do to improve our nation.

I must say, though, that I am becoming increasingly disappointed with what I am hearing. For instance, he would like to improve health care for all Americans, something that virtually every candidate is talking about. Yet, part of his plan essentially "feeds us alive" to private insurance companies! I honestly believe that these "middle-men," profit-oriented entities are part of the problem! What we need is a single-payer system, one that eliminates the broker element.

In addition, I had heard (on NPR) that part of his tax plan calls for raising the capital gains tax to 25%! Instead of automatically raising taxes to "solve" fiscal challenges, how about seeking out and eliminating wasteful spending?! Furthermore, why not scrap the current tax code, and go with a reasonable national sales tax?!

Mr. Obama keeps talking about making fundamental change. Small adjustments to existing systems are not enough. We need a bold leader who can direct Congress to enact bold and sweeping legislation. Don't forget, every last elected person in Washington works for US - we need to start speaking up!

As I said before....

Dear Democrats,
Here is your poster boy. This is the voice of your party.

Hope you're proud of him.

REAL Democrats like JFK would have sent folks like him to Guantanamo.

The TM in my sn stand for Thomas More the he authored the book Utopia if you are a socialist i would expect you know it. My stance on socialism is that i agree with the ideals it puts forth and some of the solutions it postulates. I am a proud semi socialist. In other words progressive.

Do you agree with Thomas More's religious fanaticism which lead to his execution?

Funny, how most actual democrats in similar previous threads here were smart enough to see through the ruse of somebody pretending to be something they aren't.

His execution was because he did not bow to the marriage of the king. He did not support it. That is the underlying reason. Get it right.

He wasnt a religious fanatic. He didnt try to force the King to not marry the person he just didnt support it because of religious convictions. Thats not fanaticsm thats conviction. It would be fanatacism if he tried to like kill the king. I wish people could get this straight.
