Default Looky Here..Obama leads McCain by 6 Points

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080805/...l_race_ap_poll

And this was taken AFTER that speach in Germany. So while Obama has 200,000 Germans adoring him, Bush is seeing protesters getting blasted by a water cannon in South Korea!!

Looks like Democrats will gain more seats in Congress as well :

The poll also shows "a huge Democratic advantage when voters ponder which party they would like to see control Congress next year. Democrats were favored over Republicans 53 percent to 35 percent, underscoring the mountainous disadvantage McCain and other GOP candidates are facing in the Nov. 4 voting."

Sorry my republican friends, but it looks like you guys are screwed!!

MOD EDIT: profanity removed.

It's much too soon to tell who is "screwed" and who is not.

John McCain: "Oh, I, I don't know what exactly, run through vocabulary, but it's a serious situation."

[8 seconds later]

John McCain: "... particular given the situation on the Iraq-Pakistan border."

Your narrative failed to mention there were more people there in support of Bush than the protestors. Truth is dem win or repub win we are screwed anyway. And in an election year tailor made for dems, where they almost cant loose it should be a landslide, a 6 point lead in the polls isn't anything to brag about at this point, and most polls show a near dead heat. Obama should be up by 20 points easily, but unfortuately the dems chose to run an unknown with few accomplishments. The election certainly is the dems to loose.

I think the polls are misleading right now. I think Obama has a lot more supported than is generally known, especially since there are still a lot of people who are unsure. Which is fine, since election day is 90 days from now. There are still Hillary supporters to bring into the loop, and we still have to see how the youth vote goes.

Republicans have much work to do to separate McCain from Bush. It's their best shot.

Polls for the most part don't mean jack right now, but Obama should by all estimates be consistantly in the double digits. after the conventions the fence sitters will start lining up on one side or the other and those polls will be more accurate. Of course we are still assuming there will be no huge surprises, no dukakis moments no october surprises etc, so its still anyone's ball game. The hillary supporters are basically in the loop already, the dems are going to vote for the dems and the same for the repubs, the battle is over the middle ground and to some degree turnout.

McCain as Bush's third term hasn't been gaining traction with the middle ground, that is meant for the base, and the dems are walking a fine line by doing things like that, they risk appearing bitter and unattractive to the voters they need. Like I said the election is the dems to loose, if they do there is no one to blame but themselves.

If that is right and Obama is leading it is great news.

Surely, yet once again, the American uninformed and incompetent voters are about to exchange Al Capone for Baby-face Nelson to lead their government, both in the White House and the Congress.

Never fear Republican neo-cons! It surely will only be a matter of time until the Democrat/Democrats in the White House and Congress have “screwed” the nation to the point whereby the minions in the voting booths will once again be expecting “CHANGE” from the likes of Y’all.
