First, my uncle was one of those air traffic controllers who was fired. Do you know WHY they went on strike? Before you say ANYTHING critical about the air traffic controllers, do some research and find out what conditions they worked under and why they felt the needed to go on strike. Sorry, this is personal. Learn the full story or shut the #&*@ up.
Second, while Republicans are responsible for much of this, Democrats helped. Repealing of Glass/Steagle was done by a Republican Congress and signed by Bill Clinton.
But I totally think Fiscal Conservatism is a big, fat lie. Sure, they cut taxes as promised. But the history of the Federal Deficit shows they have spent more AT THE SAME TIME. Liars, liars, liars.. Shame on them.

At one time, the auto industry employed more people than any other industry directly and through subsidiaries, and the Unions ensured a high wage, full benifits, vacation time, and so on.
After free trade was opened up with the far east, WALMART became the largest employer in the US, importing 90+ % of their products, and handing out to employees lists of ways to get food stamps and Federal aid.
Can Obama fix all this? I doubt it, but it sounds like he wants to try and make a start. McCain just wants to get in there and
