Wow, invoking "God's will" to support a pipeline just shows what a religious wacko she is.

Of course not. That would be like calling the building of a pipeline God's will.

I dare you to show me where I ever said otherwise.

Here's the video:
YouTube - Sarah Palin: Alaskan Pipeline is "God's Will"

Who here agrees that God really, really, really wants this pipeline built?
Works for me. If it will help the country then maybe it is His will. I haven't prayed on it so I couldn't tell you.

Based on the definition of freak (unusual or irregular) that would be those who don't believe in Jesus.

Poll says 75% believe he rose from the dead.
http://www.christianpost.com/article...-literally.htm

82% believe in God and 70% believe Jesus is the son of God. See that 30% number? That is where the "freaks" live.

Remember when Obama visited Israel and the wailing wall? He donned a skull cap and said a prayer, stuffing a note into the wall as is the custom of devout orthodox jews.

The contents of the note Obama left at the Western Wall in Jerusalem was widely published by the MSM. The handwriting, beneath the letterhead of the King David Hotel, appeared to be Obama's. I haven't seen any denial of Obama writing it. Visitors traditionally stick notes of prayer into the wall.

The note says:
Quote:
Lord,
Protect my family and me. Forgive me my sins and help me guard against pride and despair.
Give me the wisdom to do what is right and just.
And make me an instrument of your will.
(emphasis mine)

The media outlets report that the note was taken by a yeshiva student who was at the wall at the time — a mark of how virtually nothing remains private.

The rabbi of the Western Wall, also known as the Wailing Wall, condemned its publication.

Is invoking God's will in every aspect of our lives only considered to be the work of a religious wacko if it's done by a Republican? Is Obama pretending, or do you think his prayer was genuine? Should we take him to be a religious wacko as well?

Are you serious, comparing Obama's prayer to God to make him an "instrument of your will," with Palin's describing a pipeline as "God's will?"

Please, tell me you said that with tongue in cheek.

In the old days, kings legitimized their authority by saying they ruled by "divine right." Well, we don't have a king (just a wannabe king in the White House), but Palin sure is invoking God's will to legitimize anything she supports (pipeline, war in Iraq). Scary.

So to answer the question put to you by Senax - Is it only wacko if done by a Republican, your answer would be?

SUPREME HEADQUARTERS
ALLIED EXPEDITIONARY FORCE

Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen of the Allied Expeditionary Force!

You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. The hopes and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you. In company with our brave Allies and brothers-in-arms on other Fronts, you will bring about the destruction of the German war machine, the elimination of Nazi tyranny over the oppressed peoples of Europe, and security for ourselves in a free world.

Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well equipped and battle-hardened. He will fight savagely.

But this is the year 1944! Much has happened since the Nazi triumphs of 1940-41. The United Nations have inflicted upon the Germans great defeats, in open battle, man-to-man. Our air offensive has seriously reduced their strength in the air and their capacity to wage war on the ground. Our Home Fronts have given us an overwhelming superiority in weapons and munitions of war, and placed at our disposal great reserves of trained fighting men. The tide has turned! The free men of the world are marching together to Victory!

I have full confidence in your courage, devotion to duty and skill in battle. We will accept nothing less than full Victory!

Good Luck! And let us all beseech the blessing of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking.

Dwight D Eisenhower
