Default Please elect Barack Obama on behalf of the world!

Obama's fellow world celebrity Russell Brand made the following endorsement of Obama at the VMA on MTV:
Quote:
Please elect Barack Obama on behalf of the world
When will Barry's fellow vacuous celebrities ever learn this doesn't help their candidate. These celebrities are so out of touch, how can we even consider trusting them?

Sorry Russell in 1775 we all got together and decided to elect some folks to represent us. BTW, it was the British royalty that we were replacing.

I'll be voting for a candidate that represents my "good". If it benefits the world then that is OK. It is a priority thing, nothing personal.

Thanks for asking though.

Default Who's Russell Brand?

Who's Russell Brand?
Why is he important? Is he a rocket scientist? Or is this another airhead out of his depth living in la-la-land.

Wait, this is the guy calling Bush a retard?....lol.

Russell Brand? Never heard of him.

Let me guess. He is a gay music artist that dresses like a woman?

Twisted Sister called, they want their perm back.

This guy is supposed to be a comedian. The only thing that is funny is that the MTV crowd hired this guy knowing what he looks like. Evidently, funny looking comedian does not neccesarily translate into funny comedian.

Then again, mental illness is a logical explaination.

Apparently, if you do not vote for Barak Obama, you are automatically a racist. That is one big fat race card.

I suppose if you think Russell Brand is a terrible comedian, you are probably anti-gay too.

Imagine if the same sentiment was said and magically honored before Bush was elected! Guess how many mothers and fathers would still be alive today, how many children would wait at a window beaming at the sight of mom or dad! Sounds kinda maudlin but if McCain goes to war with Iran we repeat the same stupidity.

http://powerofnarrative.blogspot.com...ree-handy.html

"I repeat: the entire war and occupation are immoral. If you criticize the Bush administration on the grounds that it "bungled" the war, this leaves one, and only one, inevitable implication: if they had prosecuted the war and occupation "competently," then you would have no complaints whatsoever. That is: you think the invasion and occupation of Iraq were justified and moral. If that's what you actually think, you belong in the Bush camp. You're arguing over managerial style, and about issues that are entirely trivial."

A team of American and Iraqi epidemiologists estimates that 655,000 more people have died in Iraq since coalition forces arrived in March 2003 than would have died if the invasion had not occurred."

Here is the video to this person. I thought Pat off of SNL was hard up, this Russell Brand character, takes the cake.

Plus the liberals can have the fruitcake in the tall pink hat as well.

Actually I thought some parts of his routine were pretty funny. You guys just don't like him because he was dogging the Republicans pretty hard, but the man was as good a host as any.

I loved the joke about the boy who impregnated Sarah Palin's daughter. It goes something like this: "What about this kid? I would hate to be in his shoes. One minute you're a happy go lucky teenager having unprotected sex, the next minute you're at the Republican National Convention on the world stage. That's a (*)(*)(*)(*) good way to promote abstinence for other teens!"

Good forum topic. I really hope that the USA elects Obama.

Seriously, Russell Brand only said what -quite literally- the rest of the world thinks. And, the important thing to remember is, it was a joke. Get over it. Bush is scary, and something of a nutcase. The fear is that McCain is more of the same. Yes, I'm in the UK, and I'm not proud of Blair following Bush blindly into a war that no-one in this country wanted. Maybe Obama represents a change that means that the USA (and everyone else that follows) will change ways, who knows. And let's not even start with Climate Change.

I like the American people; I meet a lot over here, and you're all pretty good fun, but please, don't elect a retard again.
