Seeing as a libertarian is one who believe it is wrong to initiate aggression against another human being, that excludes Bob Barr. He's a conservative, get over it.

It's a shame that stating something doesn't prove it.

Libertarian, for most of the words history has been synonomous with anarchism, and quite rightly so. It's just a shame that the conservatives have hijacked the term.

That's the reason I'm little 'l' libertarian.

The Libertarian Party is whack.

Pretty much.

Which sucks for me. I have zero options when it comes time for me to vote. The two parties aren't offering anything good. There aren't any viable third party options. And I'm not sure if I can even write in Ron Paul.

Has anyone here listened to Barr's explainations for his past actions?

He, in the past, voted for unlibertarian things. However, his point is valid that a good politician should look at the past and see what does not work, and then adapt his policies and stances accordingly.

Besides, even if Barr were to stray from the Libertarian way while in office, I can assure you that Wayne Allyn Root would redirect him, and not allow him to go too far from the party.

Personally, I would have liked Root to be the candidate, but having him for VP works for me, too.

They're conservatives, both of them.

Unprincipled, unlibertarian, big government opportunists.
